Georgian Bay Mnidoo Gamii

UNESCO Biospheres bring a diversity of values to landscape management and planning that are uniquely positioned to help partners guide decision-making in these important regions. A variety of examples from Georgian Bay Mnidoo Gamii Biosphere will demonstrate how people, land, culture, economy, and land use planning and management all interact to sustain landscapes. From Biosphere Zonation for UNESCO designation to resource management to site development, buffers provide a range of services and benefits and are tools for us to explore at a variety of spatial and temporal scales for a range of thematic Biosphere goals such as climate mitigation and adaptation and biodiversity conservation.
